A couple of Bold Italic contributors, writer Chloe Schildhause and designer Elizabeth Brown, have joined forces and created a new magazine called Decades. The fledgling publication will cover "food, fashion, gore, and intellectualism," all with a keen eye for design and a morbid sense of humor. The fashion shoot in the first issue, for example, features a glamorously dressed, but seemingly blood-drenched woman. But it turns out that ain't blood, but beets! Other highlights include an article on the science and adult use of breast milk and ruminations on why cupcakes are obscene.

If this sounds like the type of publication you might like, you can help Decades print their first issue by contributing to their Kickstarter fund.
