Say Hi to Wendy, the New Editorial Intern

So you're probably thinking, "Who is dis bitch?" I'm Wendy and I'm one of The Bold Italic's new interns. The Bay Area and I have only been together for a year or two, but things are getting pretty serious. I graduated from Cal 18 days ago and moved into an inexplicably cute place in the Cow Hollow with my techie boyfriend. If I were you, I would hate me a little too.
I originally fell in like with the Bay when I ventured out of Torrance to visit my sister at her Berkeley frat house. Yeah, I said frat house. It might have been that San Francisco is ridiculously charming or it might have been that I was an 18 year old community college student who just wanted to get out of LA before I did something stupid like have a baby out of boredom, BUT that's when I knew I'd find my way up here eventually.
I spent my Berkeley days babysitting kids raised by hippies and eating all the junk food I could find hidden in their otherwise healthy cupboards. I had generally low school spirit because I was busy becoming a comedy fan girl and working as a Uniqlone because I'm really good at smiling when I'm not happy.
This year I'm looking forward to getting to know the city better and working on developing hobbies other than people watching. I'm starting with photography, but it's really just people watching with accessories. 2013 feels especially new because of moving and this awesome new job. I'm still adjusting to being the only woman in the Marina who is not wearing yoga pants, but I think this is the beginning of something great.
