Sponsored Post: Christian Marclay's "The Clock" Counts Down SFMOMA's Last Days
Tomorrow marks the long awaited opening of Christian Marclay's video installation The Clock at the SFMOMA.The installation is composed of film clips referencing the time of day, intricately edited into a 24-hour-long montage that matches real time, minute for minute. Making beautiful film remixes since the late 1970s, Christian is known for his innovative ways of piecing images together. The Clock was compiled over three years and has won the prestigious Golden Lion at the Venice Bennale in 2011. This exhibit is especially appropriate, considering it marks the countdown to the SFMOMA's closure on June 2 for renovations (Don't worry, the museum will still be around in the bay in some form until it reopens in early 2016).
Admission to "Christian Marclay: The Clock" is on a first-come, first-served basis, and long waits are to be expected. Follow @TheClockSFMOMA for estimated wait times.
