San Francisco's love affair with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman continues as one of my favorite movie houses, The Castro Theatre, pays tribute to this great actor (RIP) with a bender of his movies screening every Wednesday night for the month of March. This is great for anyone who'll be missing the City Arts and Lectures marathon of Hoffman movies this weekend, and for those who want to see the works of this great actor in smaller bites (as double features). Here's the full schedule:
Wednesday, March 5: Capote 7 p.m. + The Master 9:10 p.m.
Wednesday, March 12 Flawless 7 p.m. + Boogie Nights 9:05 p.m.
Wednesday, March 19 Doubt 7 p.m. + Love Liza 9 p.m.
Wednesday, March 26 Synecdoche, New York 7 p.m. + Punch-Drunk Love 9:15 p.m.
Friday, March 28 Midnites for Maniacs presents Happiness 7:20 p.m. + 25th Hour 9:45 p.m.
