If the fact that tomorrow's Friday, and it's supposed to be kinda sunny, isn't enough to get you to take a long lunch, this free Janelle Monáe show at Justin Herman Plaza is an excellent reason to skip work for the afternoon. According to SFGate, Monáe comes to us thanks to Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, who's celebrating his company's 15th anniversary with a call out to feed the homeless (bring 15 cans of food with you, or volunteer starting at 11 a.m. to pack food for Stop Hunger Now). Monáe takes the stage at 12:30 p.m., after Benioff and Mayor Ed Lee say some nice things.
If you've yet to see Monáe live, the woman is a superstar on stage. Amazing dancer, dresser, and of course, crooner, she is the complete package.
