Just in time for the beautiful weather that makes you want to drive north for picturesque day trips in places like Marin, Napa, Stinson Beach, and the Russian River, the Golden Gate Bridge Transportation District has raised the toll on our scenic span today. It'll cost you $1 more to cross back over into San Francisco on the bridge. Rates are now $6 for those with Fastrak, $7 for those without, and $4 for carpool/qualified disabled.
The toll will continue to increase 25 cents every year for the next five years in order to make up for the $142 million that the GGB Transportation District says it needs for infrastructure projects and improvements, to subsidize the bus and ferry system, and to keep pace with inflation.
