Recap: Snapshot Shootout Happy Hours
When we found out New Belgium Brewing was releasing its new Snapshot Wheat beer in San Francisco, we were stoked to help them spread the word. The Snapshot Shootout, a series of three happy hour events and one epic photo contest, raged for three weeks in March.
We kicked off the events at Dear Mom with free eats from the Dear Mom Kitchen, a fantastical photo booth, and skee ball from everyone's favorite champ, Joey the Cat. The Bold Italic was happily buying bottles of the new brew for guests and New Belgium raffled off some killer giveaways.
For our second event we moved the party to the other side of the Mission to get down with our friends at Virgil's Sea Room. American Tripps brought Berlin-style ping pong to the back patio and Powered by Pork was serving up its legendary Vietnamese tacos. All the while, guests sipped tasty offerings by New Belgium and enjoyed goods like hops-flavored chapstick and free patch kits for bike tires.
We wrapped things up with an appropriate grand finale at The Page during our Divisadero Microhood event. More than 1,000 people came out to Divis that night. Complimentary Snapshot Wheat was flowing and the place was packed. Everyone enjoyed live music and fun giveaways, and we collaborated with the good folks at New Belgium to raffle off one of its limited-edition bikes to a lucky winner.
Much of the fun took place online, where guests participated in the Snapshot Shootout contest by sharing a picture of their favorite spot to sip a beer in the Bay Area and tagging it #shootoutsf and #snapshotwheat.
Runner up @sandracifo will receive a tricked out, limited-edition bike for his awesome photo.
Congrats to the winners!
