Table8 is a startup that partners with restaurants to allow you to make last minute reservations to some of the best and most popular restaurants in the city. Table8 launches in SF today with a very select group of about 15 restaurants while they get everything perfect, but they picked good ones like Acquerello, Slanted Door, Fleur De Lys, Central Kitchen, Farallon, Range, Boulevard, La Folie, and Aziza.
This new service is perfect for all the hungry procrastinators out there who don't want to settle for eating dinner at 5 or 10 p.m. Table8 users pay a fee to reserve tables ($20-$25), while restaurants and Table8 split the profits from the fee. The reservations offered happen to be for prime slots on Thursday through Saturday nights, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For now, you can reserve a table for two or four people online or by using the Google Android Table8 app and all the seatings are only available to Table8 users. The plan is for Table8 to add more restaurants and cities in the near future, so get reserving.
