It's Cinco de Mayo; for some of you that means there'll be a long night (day?) of drinking ahead of you. And if you're responsible and thinking about how you're going to get home later, you'll be glad to hear that you can get a free lift from Luxor Cab in San Francisco thanks to an Alameda's Berg Injury Lawyers. Since 2004, William Berg and associates have funded free taxi rides for various holidays – including Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick's Day, New Year's Eve, and Halloween – through its Safe and Sober Program. According to Berg Inury Attorneys' website, this program "seeks to raise community awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative on many of the traditionally high alcohol consumption holidays." I'm usually pretty skeptical about anything that has to do with injury lawyers (I mean because Larry H. Parker) but it's hard to deny that this is a cool freebie to take advantage of if you need it.
Free cab rides via Berg Injury Attorneys begin today at 10 p.m. and end at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning. The deal only works if you request a cab through Luxor Cab at (415) 282-4141. You must tell Luxor "Berg Injury Lawyers is picking up the tab" and fares must be less than $35 (and since you're getting a free ride, don't forget to tip your cabbie!) Any fares over $35 must be paid in cash. And note that due to the popularity of this deal, you might have a tough time getting a free cab tonight, so make sure to keep some cash on hand should you need to pay for your ride!
