Bay Area Kids Support Clean Oceans And Cute Photos

May 22 at 2pm

By Wendy Steiner

According to Richmond SF Blog, kids in grades 2-7 from Marin and San Francisco went to Ocean Beach Tuesday for a clean-up day and took the epic photo above. The students were posed to form a Western Grebe bird diving for a fish, although at first, I thought it was a banana slug. The bird was chosen because its populations have been decreasing and are often put in danger due to fishing lines and other fishing gear in the water. Five other clean-ups are also taking place along the California coast. Pretty cool kids, eh?
