The Next Pixar Movie Is Set In San Francisco

SF Weekly has brought to our attention that Pixar's next feature film, Inside Out, will take place in San Francisco. Well, it really takes place inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley, but she lives in San Francisco, so it still counts. Unfortunately, the movie won't be released until June 19, 2015, but here's what you should know while you wait.

The story was written by Pete Docter who wrote Up and Toy Story and focuses on a little girl who moves to the city from the Midwest when her dad gets a new job. The other main characters include Riley's own emotions. Amy Poehler is Joy, Bill Hader is Fear, Lewis Black is Anger, Mindy Kaling is Disgust, and Phyllis Smith plays Sadness. Riley's main emotion is Joy, which is good because the more Amy Poehler the better. Still, the new San Franciscan's emotions are bound to come into conflict as she tries to find her footing in a new school, house, and awesome city.
