The Ultimate Miami Vice-Themed Booze Cruise
If you come to The Bold Italic with any regularity, you know we love a great event and our pals, brewer/distiller Seven Stills of SF are throwing what very well could be the party of the summer, the first annual I’m On A Boat. It all boils down to this very compelling offering – unlimited samples from 29 local breweries and distilleries aboard a 150-foot yacht cruising the San Francisco Bay. Sounds awesome, right?
On August 23rd, I’m On A Boat will depart from Pier 3 packed with the Bay Area’s finest artisanal booze, and guests will spend three hours enjoying the bounty while circling the bay and taking in its picturesque scenery. Two decks of this three-story yacht will be accessible to general admission ticket holders, with an exclusive VIP whiskey lounge available for a select few. Vendors such as Lagunitas, Speakeasy, Anchor, Trumer, and Drakes will share space with smaller brands including Devoto Orchards Cider, Pacific Brewing Laboratory, Workhorse Rye, and Fort Point (Check out the complete list of brands here). There will also be passed hors d’oeuvres and champagne for sipping, music courtesy of a live DJ on the main deck, and a photo booth to commemorate the fun day.
Seven Stills strongly suggests a Miami Vice dress code. Think '80s cocktail dresses, white blazers with sleeves rolled up, Blue Blockers or Wayfarers, deck shoes or loafers, and the deepest v-neck shirts. As mentioned, space is tight. General admission tickets are $100 each, but a limited number of pre-sale tickets at $80 a piece are on sale now. Act now if this sounds like your jam.
