Dreaming of Summer and Sandwitches at Ocean Beach

This lil' video was made by our friend Beau Bergeron. He's a graphic designer at IDEO, an illustrator, a DJ known as Downcoat, and a man about town. And by "town," we mean the Mission.

He went on a rare non-Mission venture on a recent weekend with his best buddy Beamer to show their friend SoCal John the Outer Sunset scene. The day ended up being so beautiful, he collaged together the iPhone footage he captured and set it to "Lightfoot," a song by his favorite local band, The Sandwitches

(You may have seen Heidi Alexander of the Sandwitch ladies at our Winter Formal at the Verdi Club, melting people's minds with her torch-burning cover of an old Tina Turner song. The whole room froze in awe. Beau is pretty sure the disco ball stopped spinning.)

The result of Beau's beach journey is this sweet and sentimental tribute to Ocean Beach.

Below are some outtake shots from his oceanic adventures. If you don't recognize these spots, it's high time you made it to the Outerlands and checked out Mollusk Surf Shop, Outerlands, Sunset Market, General Store, Trouble Coffee, and the rest.
