Alright kids, this is the last Mixtape Monday! I've been running this little column for a year now and it's been a super fun and insightful experience, but I guess all good things really do come to an end. I'm grateful to all the local folks who participated, and most importantly, for everyone that tuned in every week to listen to the jams. 

My love for Mixtape Mondays hasn't waned, I just no longer have the time to work on it. Another project has taken over my life! I'm being serious. If you are curious about what I've been up to, check out In The Make — an online arts journal that my good friend, Klea McKenna, and I started just over a year ago. Lots of plans are in the works, including short films that further illuminate our studio visits with artists and an epic road trip from Tijuana to Vancouver to check out what is happening in the West Coast art scene. 

For my goodbye mix I tried to keep the mood upbeat, but I wanted twinges of nostalgia to seep in, too. Leaving Mixtape Mondays behind is bittersweet— I'm looking forward to new endeavors, but sad to let this good thing go.
