Hi everyone! I'm Erin Conger, The Bold Italic's new Marketing Intern. I'm not sure if "excited" fully explains the way I'm feeling about my first week. It's so incredible to be learning and working in such a creative and vibrant office. Plus, it's puppy friendly – my first order of business as an intern was to pet a dog named Pinto. What's not to love?

When I'm not working, I love taking photos of food, my friends, and baby dogs. I mostly shoot with my clunky DSLR these days but I'm a huge fan of film – especially in instant and toy cameras. I'm also borderline obsessed with Arrested Development, a webcomic called Three Word Phrase, and Mitchell's avocado ice cream.

I miss my family in Southern California, but moving here in 2010 was the best snap decision I've ever made. After two years in the city, I feel like I'm actually settling in. I love my tiny, but beautifully-lit room in La Lengua. I can make my way around confidently (read: when I get on the wrong bus, I realize within four minutes). I constantly recognize people at the park, on Muni, at bars. That said, I'm only a San Francisco infant. I can't wait to keep meeting people, exploring, and tripping over my shoelaces while discovering the city's countless hidden gems.
