Jaimal Yogis is one of the Boldest Locals I know. Aside from being a diehard surfer,  he's communed with UFO enthusiasts, explored SF's dank underground tunnels, swam to Alcatraz and back, and got some face time with a Great White. Oh and he's come to terms with his last name and embraced the yoga thing. All of these adventures make sense for a guy, who at age 16, bought a one-way ticket to Maui and ran away from home with only a copy of Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha. He left to surf and travel, but he also left to find himself. 

Jaimal chronicled his adventures in his bestselling coming-of-age memoir Saltwater Buddha, and now, he's bringing his story to the big screen.
