We're excited that LA-based band Wildcat! Wildcat! is performing at The Haberdash, our men's fashion event taking place tomorrow night at the Great American Music Hall. We caught up with members Michael Wilson (keys, vocals), Jesse Taylor (bass, vocals), and Jesse Carmichael (drums, vocals) to fill us in on Los Angeles music and fashion.

First of all, who is the bunny dancer in your video? That bunny is actually supposed to be a cat but has been mistaken for pretty much every animal with four legs and hair. We had a break dancer that we met named Kian Khiaban do all the dancing... he's a true boss. Jesse Taylor (bass, vocals) used his acting background for all the non-dancing dramatic moments. 

Describe your band’s sound in 140 characters or less. Sexy, dynamic, melodic, harmonic indie/electro/dance/hip-pop made by three best friends using a very thoughtful, intentional, obsessive process. (And, yes... Twitter was used to verify that we had exactly 140.)

SF is... one of our favorite places in the world and possibly where we'd live if we weren't in LA.

What do you like about playing shows in SF? Everything. It’s like a breath of fresh air when we come up here. The people, the venues, the bars, the style, the weather. Love it all.

LA is... home. It's where our roots are.

What do you get obsessive with in LA? We've been known to get in deep with some games (Kan-Jam, pool, trivia, shuffleboard, croquet, etc) and there's a lot of good places that facilitate these non-athletic traditions.

What’s your favorite venue to play in LA? The Echo has been very good to us; we love it there. We're pretty pumped to play the Fonda in December too... seen a lot of good shows at that place.

What’s the must-have men’s clothing item in LA right now? I (keyboardist Michael Wilson) just bought a pair of pants with flowers on them so I'm hoping that'll catch on.

How would you describe your personal style? At the moment, we like a lot of bright colored/loose fitting things. But, if summer ever ends we might have to change things up. We enjoy wearing suits from time to time. We've also got fairly extensive jacket and/or scarf collections so hopefully we can tap into that this "winter."

What would you change about LA? The go-to answer is obviously traffic. The heat is getting old but it feels ridiculous to ever complain about that. We've also been told there are more subway stops opening in the next 10 years...
