Looking Great at The Haberdash

Men's fashion can get overlooked sometimes, shoved to the sidelines by pencil skirts, high heels, and other feminine fashion charms. But last Wednesday night at the Great American Music Hall, it was ALL about masculine style.

The Bold Italic's Haberdash runway show featured must-have looks from local boutiques and brands, including Freemans Sporting ClubDepartment Seventeen, Self Edge, DSF Clothing, Bonobos, and the Artful Gentleman. The models were local hot dudes, most who have never modeled professionally before (although some should consider doing so!). They were transported to GAMH in cushy style thanks to Uber, and once there, we dressed them up in clothing from the above local shops, along with rad shoes courtesy of Kurt Geiger, smart specs from Warby Parker, and accessories by Rickshaw Bags, Argoz Socks, Converse, and Goorin Bros.

While the models were getting ready, DJ Omar from Popscene got the night started with some beats. The crowd was definitely feeling it.

And then finally it was show time...

MC Broke-Ass Stuart and The Bold Burrito warmed up the crowd.

Img_1208  Img_1253After an energetic (and even fierce, at times) runway show, WillCall presented not one, but two live bands: Wildcat! Wildcat! and AB & the Sea. They rocked the Hall and got the crowd dancing.

The Bold Italic crew can never turn down a photo-booth opportunity, so you can bet your ass we were excited to use the Snap Yourself! booth on the balcony. If you used the booth that night, tag yourself in their album here!

And even though Haberdash is over, you can still get some perks from our partners. Bonobos is extending an invitation to The Haberdash attendees to its Guideshop for a quick and easy shopping experience. Bonobos' Guides will help you find just what you need, whether it be a pair of casual chinos or a premium suit. And if you mention "Haberdash 2012," you'll get $50 off any Guideshop purchase of $200 or more! Make sure to download the WillCall app for great deals on events and stop by Kurt Geiger's new Union Square shop for free personal shopping from their awesome selection of men's and women's shoes and accessories.

Thanks to The Haberdash partners and sponsors including WillCall, Speck (their iPhone cases were a hit in our model gift bags), Kurt Geiger, Warby Parker, Bonobos, Uber, Movember, Popchips, the Barber Lounge, and Snap Yourself! for a great night of fashion, music, and mustaches.

Speaking of mustaches... Movember continues through the end of the month. There is still time to register, join in the fun, (or donate to our team!) and help raise awareness for men's health issues.

Finally, big thanks to our awesome MC Broke-Ass Stuart and all of the models who participated. See you next year for The Haberdash 2013.
