This past Thursday evening, we set up shop in Dogpatch for the second annual 3rd Base. Being one of our most popular microhood events, we came back, with even more to offer than the first time around.
We co-produced the event with Triple Aught Design. They stayed open late and invited people in for exclusive manufacturing demonstrations, great deals, and complimentary hot chocolate – the best way to stay warmed up on a chilly SF evening.
Just around the corner on 3rd Street, DODOCase offered guests 10% off all their products, beer sampling courtesy of Almanac Beer Co., a Nosh This chocolate tasting, Spicy Vine Spiced Wine, plus a photobooth courtesy of Orange Photography, complete with props.
Rickshaw Bagworks welcomed an amazing assortment of locally crafted products and vendors into its space, including Papergirl SF, Giggling Lotus Yoga, and the iPie Shop, along with delicious Speakeasy beer and more spiced wine courtesy of Spicy Vine. Rickshaw also raffled off this bag – a limited edition collaboration with The Bold Italic.
Olivier's Butchery offered complimentary beer and an awesome cutlery demo courtesy of Bernal Cutlery.

The Disposable Film Festival screened shorts just outside Rickshaw Bagworks' factory on their roll-up door.
Magnolia Pub & Brewery's new Dogpatch location is still being built out, but visitors got a sneak peek at the progress.
Workshop Residence welcomed 3rd Basers in to view their amazing artist-in-residence products, all made on the premises and available for sale. You can even check out a few available now at The Bold Italic Shop.
After the official block party ended, the partying didn't stop. We headed over to Om Studios on 3rd Street, where we hosted the 3rd Base afterparty. Guests got down to music by SF DJ J Boogie, and enjoyed Drambuie cocktails, Spicy Vine Spiced Wine, and the city's favorite party beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Thanks to Dogpatch, all of the businesses who were a part of this year's 3rd Base, and to the one thousand or so folks who came out to explore what this neighborhood has to offer. It was an amazing time and we can't wait to do it again next year!
