This photo taken by astronaut Chris Hadfield, who tweeted it while orbiting above the Bay Area on Friday, proved what we have known all along: the best view in the world is of San Francisco. You can make out the Golden Gate Bridge, "and if you look closely, its shadow," Hadfield tweeted. 

In April, another astronaut, André Kuipers, posted a different remarkable photo of the San Francisco Bay on a sunny day.
