About Jesse

Since moving here from New York, Jesse Hirsch has been hemorrhaging cynicism, cooking with vegetables, and enjoying the outdoors (much to his alarm). Visitors from the Northeast tease him mercilessly and hide his frisbee.

Jesse works a normal editorial day job, allowing him the financial freedom to write about food. His work has appeared in SF Weekly, the Chronicle, the New York Times, the Bay Citizen, San Francisco magazine, the Wall Street Journal and a few really funny emails.

He lives in Potrero Hill with his ladyfriend and two cats he pretends not to like.
