About LJ
LJ Moore pilots a pirate ship powered by rubber bands. She is interested in how we all balance the rational and the uncanny, the lyrical, humorous and pathological in our lives. She wants to hear your ghost stories.
LJ's 2008 book, F-Stein, tangles science, family, pop-culture, and the paranormal into the structure of a replicating strand of dna.
Her poetry, essays, photography and reviews have appeared in Spectrum, Midnight Zoo, Danse Macabre, Coracle, 14850, 14 Hills, Limestone, Jacket, Kalliope, Transfer, Goetry, Sidebrow, Instant City 6, The Sidebrow Anthology, The Chiron Review and We Still Like, with work forthcoming in Rain Taxi.
LJ is a co-founder of bay-area-based Small Desk Press, and was an Artist in Residence at Headlands Center for the Arts in 2010.
LJ reviews books for Publishers Weekly and Examiner.com.
