About Melanie

What can I say about Melanie—other than she loves writing about herself, especially in the third person? She was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, an old mill city filled with hollow brick buildings, strong young mothers, and hardworking alcoholics. As a result, she finds beauty in contradictions, especially SF’s. The suit-and-tie skateboarder, the book devouring homeless man, the tattoo-covered mother with her pale-skinned child all make life worth living, according to Melanie. She also loves classic rock, writing poetry, huggin’ on her husband Alex, being an auntie, and hanging with her tight group of enormously creative and talented friends.
