About Ambar

Ambar Munoz is one of the four people of her family born and raised in San Francisco. She grew up in Cole Valley on Bambino’s linguini with clams and classes at American Gymnastics Club. After graduating from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in English, she wanted to make a difference in the world and decided to go into advertising. A serious people person, she likes to surround herself with diverse friends from all walks of life and enjoys dancing and eating her way into new cultures. Since working at Weather Underground, she’s learned much about choropleth maps, radar loops, and CO2 in the atmosphere from her crazy-smart meteorologist and developer friends. She began to see the world as more tightly woven than ever before. Her new mission in life is to show people that although weather data can be intimidating, it’s one of the few and special things that connects us all. From snowboarding and fishing to droughts and flooding, once you realize how much it affects your life, you too will become a weather geek.
