About Rocio

I was born in New York City and was raised in the Dominican Republic. In the fall of 2005 I spread my wings and moved to San Francisco where I fell in love, not just with the man of my dreams but with the city of my dreams. I received my MFA in Photography at the Academy of Art University in 2008. As an island girl I need to be near a large body of water to feel centered. As a Caribbean girl, I love anything food related that involves plantains and fish. I enjoy a good glass of wine; a well-curated art exhibit, puppies, and fun bike rides with my hubby! Currently I am working on a personal portrait project, starting up a new business (future shop owner) that is going to be kick ass. I am also part of Blue Chair Photography, a women-only team of photographers.
