Katie Tandy is a newly imported freelance writer and photographer; she just moved here from the beautiful bowels of Brooklyn.

She is also working on a memoir — isn’t she a little young to write a memoir? Yes and no. Katie had a pretty interesting childhood.

As for capturing the world via digital celluloid, she takes pictures of everything from rusting machinery to raucous revelers.

She loves elevating everyday things to something sacred, something whispered, collapsing the boundaries between the pure and the profane.



It is also rumored she is a bit of a sullied snowball, collecting countless curios on her travels and travails.

If she's not poking about her garden, you'll find her belting out Weezer, sailing along the mean ol' Bay, or on the prowl for the most fantastically ferocious feral cat.
