About Dylan

I grew up in Berkeley, California and as a kid I played sports and pretended to like baseball cards because it was expected of me. Once I found my group of friends I became interested in skateboarding and drawing. My box of baseball cards was emptied and I started to hide things like beer, which I would have been grounded for having. At the age of 15 I realized I did not have the drive or balls to become a professional skateboarder and figured I better find some other interests. After several years of studying at various universities and traveling around, attempting to talk to girls, I ended up working a variety of random jobs. I was a valet parker, a boat mechanic's assistant, a shuttle driver, an auto parts delivery boy, a house painter, and a card dealer at a children's daycare in a hotel. Eventually I became a busboy. For many years I worked various jobs in restaurants. At first it was simply a means of income and a way to pass the time in my early 20s, but eventually it became a career. I now own my own restaurant with my partner who is the chef, and we manage to get along sometimes.
