About Matthew
Matthew Passmore was born in San Francisco and raised on the edge of Dolores Park. In 2004, along with John Bela and Blaine Merker, he founded Rebar, an art and design studio based in the Mission. Matthew currently serves as principal and artist at Rebar, where he explores the social and political dynamics of public space through innovative collaborations, including PARK(ing) Day, a variety of Parklets, Bubbleware, and the Panhandle Bandshell. Matthew lectures and exhibits work with Rebar at venues around the globe.
