About Terry
Terry Ashkinos leads a band called Fake Your Own Death that released its debut album in March and wrapped up a tour with performances at this year’s SXSW and Noise Pop festivals. Previously, he was the founding member/guitar player/song writer of SF indie band Elephone. He also teaches humanities at a progressive, independent school in the Mission called the CDS Middle School – soon to be housed in the Hogwarts-style castle on Dolores Park. Last year he published a novel called, Headphones, and he is currently working on a follow-up. Although he has never acted before, Terry recently took on a starring role in a film called Sully Marooned. He lives with his wife, Tanya, and their two sons Cash and Catcher and a cat named Skywalker in a small Mission district apartment.
