About Peter

Peter Perez is a first generation Cubano-Americano by way of leafy NJ suburbia. He went to London at age 8; the experience imprinted on him so massively that he’s Anglophilically-obsessed to this day. He attended Catholic schools, which were made bearable by Bowie, Siouxsie, and Buzzcocks albums. He got good grades, so his punkish, gothy, preppy, gay boy self went to non-Catholic NYU (major: journalism). Post-college, he became a buyer for Rizzoli in NY, then moved to the Bay Area 15+ years ago (working for Nature Company and Williams-Sonoma). He now finds himself happily ensconced at Chronicle Books with much chocolate in the mix.
