Another awesome night of free music with a great band in a historic hotel. Unknown Mortal Orchestra was initially conceived by New Zealand native, Ruban Neilson, who pieced the band together with skilled producer, Jake, on bass and a brilliant teenage drummer named Julien to fill out the band. They bring break-beats together with 60’s/70’s Beatles sounding pop harmonies and a minimal Krautrock rhythm section.
Pioneers in San Francisco for offering free musical performances from some of the most talked about new names on the music circuit in non-traditional music venues, CLIFT Hotel and IAMSOUND Records will continue to host CLIFT Sessions through the new year in the iconic Redwood Room and Velvet Room.
