Fans of indie music and food trucks take note: the 2012 Phono del Sol Music and Food Festival is coming! This second annual celebration of great Bay Area music and food returns to Potrero del Sol Park in San Francisco’s Mission District for an all-day, all ages extravaganza.

Produced by The Bay Bridged, Phono del Sol 2012 features seven top-notch indie rock bands, mixing local favorites with several of the West Coast’s best performers for a day of exciting and eclectic sounds. Co-headlined by The Fresh & Onlys and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, the fest will also include performances by Gardens & Villa, Dominant Legs, La Sera, Sea of Bees, and Mwahaha. 

The bands will be joined at the festival by eight terrific local food trucks serving up a variety of tasty and creative fare and local libations: Doc’s of the Bay, Kung Fu Tacos, Kasa Indian, TomKat, An the Go, Whisk on Wheels, Voodoo Van, and Frozen Kuhsterd. Consistent with The Bay Bridged’s mission of creating affordable, community-oriented local music experiences, tickets are available at the low sliding scale price of $7-10 (just a dollar a band!), with a portion of the proceeds benefiting San Francisco Recreation and Parks, as well as two Mission-based nonprofits, Women’s Audio Mission and Girlventures.
