Our Urban Photo Safari series is all about taking back touristy spots with local attitude. Why should out-of-towners be the only ones to visit scenic postcard points around the city? We’ve created this run of staycation experiences to urge photography fanatics to spend an afternoon venturing into known spots from fresh perspectives, chaperoned by entertaining hosts and camera experts.

Next up on the tour: we’re hopping on Ride the Ducks (check their promo video here) and hitting the historic hoods around town on that ubiquitous boat on wheels. We'll hit 20 different stops total - including Lombard Street, Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Coit Tower, and various other places on land - but we'll also hit the water, going around Pier 52 and the two large Cape Horn ships and then into McCovey Cove.

Nerd out on Ride the Ducks' wacky San Francisco trivia as we travel from land to sea and back with Photobooth at our side. Your ticket includes a Micro Holga (a compact analog camera that brings retro awesomeness to your shots), a roll of film, and lots of shooting advice from the Photobooth pros. You'll leave Ride the Ducks with new insider knowledge about San Francisco and great shots from the city's best vistas – plus you'll have spent an afternoon traveling from street to bay and back. How sweet is that?

Added bonus: We know some of you have created offspring out there, and since we so rarely have non-boozy events, we're reaching out to the urban safaring parents for this one. We have a limited number of free tickets (for the ride only, if the young 'uns want their own cameras, the cost is the same as the regular ticket) for kids 12 and under when accompanied by an adult. Get 'em before they're gone.
