A meditation on our ontology and an exploration of the collectively-experienced performance event, Oscillations // LIVE deals with the construction of self through the senses. Oscillations // LIVE presents a synaesthetic experience, acknowledging the universality of affect through engaging its audience in a visceral journey.

This performance is an expansion on both of our multimedia, multi-sensorial artistic practices—incidentally, through limitation of content. The piece operates with the conviction that it is actually the numbing of certain sensory realities that generates crucial moments in socio-cultural transformation.

Oscillations (installation) will be exhibited in the Room for Big Ideas, Yerba Buena Center for the arts through January 13. The exhibition called New World New Sequence features Surabhi’s first time collaboration with Sebastian Alvarez and installations & performances by Evan Bissell, Gregory Ito.
