SF is... a beautiful cornucopia of people with different ethnic backgrounds and ideas. If you try to change that, there’s going to be trouble.
Where would you have your last meal on earth? I would grab my dog, head to Clare’s Deli, and order a French dip to be delivered to the 500 Club. Meet my girlfriend there for a quick drink, get our food and walk up to Corona Heights. Perfect.
What are you up to these days? I am working on a few film shorts with artist Dirty Donny, and musician Bone Cootes. I just finished one for comic Anna Seregina and I am working on a documentary about a tri-athlete. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Keratoconus, which has made photography extremely difficult, so I switched to video. It’s a little easier to work with in regards to my eye degeneration. My podcasting network takes up some of my time. I also swim. Lots of swimming.
Where's your go-to date place? The Lone Palm. I rarely run into anyone I know there.
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? The Roxie or Castro Theatre. Nothing takes me out of my element like a film.
What's your favorite SF institution? I’m going to have to put two together. SFMOMA and Los Compadres taco truck. SFMOMA never fails to inspire me in so many different ways. Everytime I’m down there I stop by Los Compadres. They have the best damn tacos I’ve ever eaten. I like to sit and eat at the tables outside the truck, and think about the art .
