Where does everybody know your name? There is lots of love flying every which way at Heirloom Cafe.

What event will we find you at this week? Now that I've volunteered at Sunday Streets, I actually have no plans this week, but I bet Oddball Film and Video has something cool playing.

What's your go-to date place?  I like wandering around on dates more than just flopping in a bar or somewhere — window shopping down Valencia, strolling through Dolores Park...

What's your secret spot in town?  Not sure I have any secrets, especially since I recommend the places I really like all the time; that said, Borderlands Cafe (no wi-fi on purpose) has my favorite Americano and is a great quiet place to study or read, but I'm going to also bonus mention Nombe because, perhaps flying under some people's radar, their house ice creams — shichimi chocolate and black sesame, among others — are killer.

What's your favorite San Francisco institution?  New People hasn't been around very long, so I'm not sure you can call it an institution yet (certainly not even to the extent that you can call the J-town mall an institution) but I love the work they are doing to bring us Japanese style and entertainment.
