What are you up to these days? I have a 6-week-old baby at home and I'm overseeing two newly purchased restaurants, including Kitchen 39 Cafe & Catering in the Presidio to re-open September 6. I'm plotting the first ethical foie gras farm. I'm also organizing the largest formal picnic San Fran has ever seen (Le Dîner)... I'm not sleeping.
What would you eat for your last meal on earth? E'angelo's tortellini in cream sauce.
Where's your go-to date place? A Giants game then to The Rickshaw. It's that date that made me a daddy.
Where's your own secret spot? Sears Fine Food. I like listening to the tourists, and they have amazing dollar pancakes.
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? The San Francisco Zoo.
What's your favorite San Francisco institution? The elevator at the Westin St. Francis.
What have you been meaning to check out? Park Life. I heard they have amazing art openings.
