What are you up to these days? Flexing my green thumb for the first time with my rooftop vegetable and herb garden and indulging in a healthy amount of gin.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? The panhandler, Roosevelt, posts up near my work and a few blocks from my house, meaning I see him more frequently than most of my friends. He unabashedly asks me to dinner all while referring to me as his queen – how could I not love a character like that?

Where's your go-to date place? Row Boating at Stow Lake is playful, active, not to mention a tad romantic. Pack some sandwiches, beer, and iPod speakers and see what your suitor can do with a couple of oars.

What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? Shanghai House in the Outer Richmond has the most succulent dry fried chicken wings, broth filled pork dumplings, and a crispy pork knuckle that leaves me weak in the knees and covered in sauce from the elbow down.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Suppenküche is at the top of my list. I went to Germany last year and have yet to fulfill my endless craving for beer and bratwurst.
