wants it to snow in SF so bad

Neighborhood: Inner Sunset

Gig: Owner, Kurt Manley Photography

What are you up to these days? Thanking my lucky stars I'm beginning to make it on my own as a freelance photographer. Working on a couple of personal projects I hope to show next year, mainly, one about the Bay Area's working class.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Carol, the benevolent queen of Ocean Beach. Hands down she is one of the most positive people ever and the embodiment of old school SF hippie ideals.

Where's your own secret spot? The beach below Fort Funston. There is hardly anyone around thanks to the long hike, and the fishing can be pretty great.

What’s your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? San Tung on Irving in the Inner Sunset for OG Chinese food. The Dry-Fried Beef is my current addiction.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? Color darkroom #2 at the Rayko Photo Center.

What’s your favorite San Francisco institution? KUSF…RIP

What do you get obsessive about? Is it possible to be a guy in San Francisco and not be obsessive about burritos?
