Neighborhood: Potrero Hill

Gig: Co-Founder, Queer Cultural Center SF

What are you up to these days? Just finished my first graphic novel Panji Tomo. After years of working with digital media, I am now returning to drawing with charcoal on paper. Go figure. Sort of a retro-future for me.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? Land’s End, where time stands still.

What's your favorite SF institution? Seeing the rainbow flags go up for Pride Month.

Where's your go-to date place? The Castro Theater. Noir City, Berlin and Beyond, Frameline…all the film festivals. And hearing the organ playing “San Francisco.” That’s romance!

Why do you love your neighborhood? The mix of high tech and artisan culture. Hipsters and geeks. Chic eateries and burritos vans. I love it all.

Where's your secret spot?  My art studio on Alabama Street.
