Where does everybody know your name? I can't seem to visit Butter without consuming way too many complimentary libations. Keeping things classy – it's what I do.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? It would definitely be spent at Tartine Bakery – I'd eat enough hot, buttery bread to contract a Grimsvötn-sized yeast infection (is that even possible?)

Who's your favorite local character? Most certainly The Johnny Cash Guy at the 24th Street BART station.

What's your own secret spot? Town Music Studio on Geary. When the lights go out in the city, these cats stay open until 4 a.m. and don't seem to mind when you imbibe after hours... Not a bad place to keep the party going, even if you can't stand karaoke.

What would you change about SF? More late night dining! I mean, I love a donut from Bob's in the wee morning hours as much as the next person, but one of my favorite parts of visiting our rivals in New York is the idea of being having a real, legitimate restaurant experience in the middle of the night, where as here, life seems to come to a screeching halt at 10 p.m.
