What are you up to these days? Playing drums for a bluegrass band called The Sam Chase.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? I would go to Absinthe for a manhattan and a cup of french onion soup. 

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Kelly Malone! She is my DIY hero. 

Why do you love your neighborhood? The Western Addition has everything you need. Great food, great bars, and amazing people.

Where's your secret spot? The top floor of the Marriott on 4th and Market has an incredible view of the city and a piano bar.

What's your favorite SF institution? Mission bacon-wrapped hot dogs.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Finding the best hamburger in the city.

What would you change about SF? I would love more parking. It's hard when you have a pickup truck – not a lot of spots are big enough.
