SF is...the only city that will ever love you back.
What event will we find you at this weekend? On Saturday, I'll be at The Great American Music Hall hosting and performing at The Tenth Annual Sleepless Nights: A Tribute To The Music Of Gram Parsons. I still can't believe we've been doing this for a decade...it doesn't seem so long ago that The Beachwood Sparks drove up from LA to play the very first one.
What's your most embarrassing SF moment? Drunkenly touching Kirk Hammett’s hair plugs and asking, “What did you do?”
Why do you love your neighborhood? Because sometimes skating the curb behind Safeway is more fun than schralping a bowl full of barneys. I also love the sandwich Nazis at M&L Market. Bread first!
What's your secret spot in town? There’s this empty backyard pool in the Sunset that’s shaped like a kidney…
What's your favorite San Francisco institution (i.e., character, food cart, museum, landmark)? DLX – As a collective whole (DLXSF, Thrasher, Independent, Spitfire, etc), they’ve done so much for skateboarding and its community – RIP Eric Swenson.
If you can change one thing about San Francisco, what would it be? I'd buy the Purple Onion and give it back to Tom Guido - he'd be so bummed if he found out how conservative San Francisco garage rock has become in his absence.
