What are you up to these days? Drinking lots of Muscle Milk and working on my posture. Also, doing stand-up and writing a web miniseries.
Where's your go-to date place? You can't get my boyfriend and I away from Fisherman's Wharf! Try it! You can't! Let me slip a taffy into your back pocket!
Why do you love your neighborhood? I live within blocks of two of my favorite stores - Groove Merchant and Rooky Ricardo's. There's a liquor store that carries English Heinz beans in tomato sauce. Everyone knows one another and looks out for each other's well-being. It's a wonderful balance of new and old, $7 pints of mac 'n' cheese, and project housing. I've been here for a few years now and have been fortunate enough to get acquainted with a good chunk of the families and individuals in the neighborhood. I don't think I could live anywhere else.
Where's your secret spot? Twin Peaks, because you can really sit there alone and have a long, hearty think.
What's your favorite SF institution? Carl, the grouchiest bartender at Ha-Ra. Dude was great - he would 86 anyone who put Bob Dylan on the jukebox, 86 anyone who ordered anything more complicated than a Jack 'n' Coke, and ask to shave girls' legs for them.
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? The upstairs bathroom at of New People in Japantown - it has a heated bidet.
