Andria Sato Artisan, dog lover, world traveler, and wine drinker

secretly wishes she was a chef

Andriasato

Neighborhood: Russian Hill

Gig: Owner, Lilikoi Design + Letterpress

What are you up to these days? Printing wedding invitations and stationery in the studio, exploring cafés and restaurants around the city, and practicing yoga.

SF is... full of charm, diversity, and has such a strong community for local artisan goods.

Where's your go-to date place? Kiss Seafood! It reminds me of my honeymoon in Japan.

Why do you love your neighborhood? The views are amazing – I love being able to see the water and the Golden Gate Bridge, my friendly neighbors, and the local businesses that are in walking distance.

Where's your secret spot? Not necessarily secret, but the sunlit back patio at Arlequin Cafe. I enjoy ordering a bottle of French wine, their roasted chicken, and fries, and sharing it with my husband.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Local coffee roasters, food purveyors, and artists. Walking everywhere.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? I hope to meet every merchant in Hayes Valley – there seems to be such a strong sense of encouragement, inspiration, and support from my fellow merchants that I would love to be a part of.

What would you change about SF? I would add more sunny days and make the ocean temperature warmer. I would also clean the interior of the public transportation system.
