Neighborhood: Lower Haight

Gig: Owner, Project One Gallery

What are you up to these days? It's summer time, so traveling and having fun with my husband and two kids.  I am also curating radical art exhibits every month at Project One and restoring a 1905 victorian house in Lower Haight.

SF is… beautiful

Where do you get your local gossip? I scan through the local mags – the gossip here is not that interesting however.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Manicure Versace, a beautiful drag queen – because she is so sassy.

Where's your go-to date place? Farina – because the pesto pasta is sexy.

Why do you love your neighborhood? Lower Haight has soul and you can walk to all the good neighborhoods.

What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? SKOOL around the corner from Project One. They have a delicious Salad Niçoise.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? A surf town about 45 minutes north of San Francisco.

What's your favorite SF institution? Yerba Buena Center of the Arts.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Bi-Rite & Uber cabs.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Rare Device on Divisadero – it looks cool and I can walk to it

What would you change about SF? The cold nights. I miss sultry, warm summer nights
