Neighborhood: The Mission

Gig: Getting artists the work and praise they deserve

What are you up to these days? Our newest Postera feature is our baby boy, Julian. At four months old, he already parties the hardest.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? Mission Beach Cafe, hands down. I'd get their burger with truffle fries, and since it's my last day on earth, I'd follow it up with a slice of chocolate pie. Why? Because I can.

Where do you get your local gossip? Mission Local. It's kind of gossipy and I love that in a neighborhood.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Dylan Germick — an amazing performer and all around fantastic guy. Check out his amazing band videos on Youtube: Planet Booty.

What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? My kitchen. We have guest chefs (a.k.a. friends) over all the time and make meals to feed an army of hungry artists and performers. It's the best way to get to spend an evening. Oh and there's wine. Lots and lots of wine.

What's your favorite SF institution? The Explorist International Record and Book Shop. There's not a bad disk in there, and Chris is the perfect music frontiersman.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Two things: Keeping SF business local — and making artists look good. Really, really good.

What would you change about SF? I'd love to see Valencia Street permanently closed to traffic and the road planted with grass... I know, I know...
