Grant Henderson Filmmaker

says, "Action!"

Gh22

Neighborhood: SOMA

Gig: Filmmaker

Who’s your favorite local character? Lou the Seal at AT&T Park. I see him every time I work as a photographer there and just love how he’s always happy.

What are you up to these days? Thinking in pictures and discovering inspiration from the community we live in.

Why do you love your neighborhood? I love living in the SOMA because it’s close to everything and there’s always something exciting going on, whether it’s music or amateur comedy.  Sometimes I like to just sit at Café Cumaica, sip on iced chai, and write screenplays.

What’s your favorite under-the-radar restaurant? Kingdom of Dumpling in the Outer Sunset. It’s a nondescript hole in the wall, but the food and staff are delicious. I recommend the soup dumplings.

What do you get obsessive about here in SF? Sunny Sundays at Dolores Park.

What would you change about SF? We should plant more trees outside of designated tree areas.
