Neighborhood: The Mission

Gig: Editor in Chief - Co Publisher Asterisk San Francisco Magazine

What are you up to these days? Mostly working on art projects and exploring San Francisco with my eternal touristy enthusiasm. I'm always trying out new restaurants and forcing myself to get out of the Mission and explore new hoods.

What event will we find you at the week of Sept. 10th? I'll be at Asterisk SF Gallery for our Photo Show featuring photographs from the last 12 issues we've produced highlighting 12 different districts.

SF is... the best city in the world where anyone and everyone is welcomed and a place where you'd find yourself asking - How have I lived for so long without knowing just how awesome life can be? Thanks SF!

Where would you have your last meal on earth? It would have to be at my go-to place Pakwan on 16th Street. I just can't see myself dying before a final taste of mouth-watering tikka masala or nihari with their super delicious basmati rice.

Where do you get your local gossip? I don't really subscribe to gossip and such. I like to stay informed about what's happening in the city and try to focus on good news than bad. SFGate gives me a little bit of both. The others, well… sensationalism isn't my thing.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? The one I am enamored by the most is the lil' guy playing sax with a full on suit around downtown from time to time. He's got the charisma of Frank Sinatra in a tweens package. Can't remember his name at the moment, but I'll track him down soon and write about him.
