Where does everybody know your name? Four Barrel is my Cheers. I spend all my time here.
Where would you have your last meal on earth (and what would you eat)? It would probably be the rice clay pot from one my favorite restaurants, Namu. I get it every time I go there because it’s so great. Dennis Lee is an incredibly talented chef.
Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Johnny On The Spot, our most unique customer and the biggest Four Barrel fan. He’s a bike messenger who used to do our deliveries for free with his parrot Petey always in tow. And of course, that’s not his real name.
Why do you love your neighborhood? Years ago, I lived in the Richmond and hated it. Now I love it in the Sunset because it’s quiet. I live close to Irving Street and you can get anything there. It’s perfect. I even have a yard.
What's your secret spot in town? My living room.
What's your favorite San Francisco institution? The California Academy of Sciences. My kid loves the fish and they actually have good food there.
